Affordable Housing Program:

Over 53% of all residences, about 396 homes, are reserved for local workforce buyers through Hawaii’s affordable housing programs (HHFDC).  It’s one of the larger offerings we’ve seen in a few years, adding another additon to Kaka’ako’s flourishing community.

Location & Lifestyle

Current site of the future Kahuina buildings on Coral and Pohukaina streets.

Living at Kahuina means being at the center of Oahu’s most dynamic neighborhood transformation. The development sits next to SALT at Our Kakaako, where island makers and small business owners have built something locals actually want to visit—a community hub that feels real, and just minutes from the rest of town’s convienences.

Nearby Highlights:

  • SALT at Our Kakaako: Local vendors, Honolulu Beerworks, and solid food options
  • Ward Village: Shopping and entertainment when you need it
  • Ala Moana Beach Park: Less than a mile to the go-to beach for swimming, picnics, and morning runs
  • Downtown Honolulu: Walking distance to the business district
  • Mother Waldron Park: Basketball courts and open space right across the street The location also sits on the rail line for whatever convenience that eventually provides.

For those who prefer getting around Kakaako on foot or by bike, daily essentials are within easy reach—H Mart for groceries, yoga studios, and neighborhood staples all close enough to skip the car.
